October 8-9 in Boulder Colorado
What a year it has been for tech and regional conferences!
boco, TribeCon and BigOmaha were my personal favorite events, taking regional love and giving folks outside a damn good weekend to visit and explore.
The dates for boco 2010 are October 8-9.
We will be releasing some tickets in the next week at an ultra discount for all you early folks.
Thanks for being here.
A final post for this year’s event is definitely in order. Although everything went smooth and everyone seemed happy, we want to know what you think we could do better. So, comment it up and let us know what you think we can improve for next year. If you’re so inclined, you can email us as well at questions@boco.me.

Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art is located on 13th Street, across from a Boulder’s beautiful Central Park. The museum began in 1972 by a group of contemporary artists, and moved to it’s current location in 1976. The museum now attracts artists from across the nation and around the world. The BMoCA prides itself on being on the forefront of contemporary art and offers classes and tours to visitors of the museum. Two of the artists being featured are Andrea Modica and Heather Wilcoxon.
Boulder’s active populace takes full advantage of the intricate trail system around town. The abundance of trails in the green belt (city and county parks) makes for great hiking. Read on…
Here’s a great list of some awesome downtown Boulder restaurants…

Jax is home to the best seafood menu in Boulder! Packed into a small space for over 14 years, this restaurant is home to the winner of TV’s Top Chef, Hosea Rosenberg. They offer a fantastic happy hour from 4-6pm and have a Raw Bar featuring fresh oysters, clams, and Alaskan King Crab all flown in daily.

West End Tavern is the place to go if you’re in the mood for breathtaking views of the Boulder Flatirons.
Boulder’s love of coffee shops is only seconded by peoples’ love of drinking too much caffeine at them; hence the “wheeeeeeee!” This could be a classic situation for the chicken-or-the-egg question: which came first? Boulder’s coffee shops or the awesome entrepreneurs, students, musicians, and artists who consistently fill them? Although I’m sure it’s been more of a mutual partnership/growth of sorts, Boulder currently has the lock-down on the coffee scene.
A local favorite, The Cup is typically found packed to the brim. With an always happy and somewhat noisy – in a good way – vibe, you know you’ll enjoy your coffee and, assuming you brought headphones, good productivity.
Can’t believe we are almost a week away!
The most common question we get for the conference (it being new and all) is what to expect.
Check out the full schedule here. Get your ticket here. October 2nd is just eight days away!
Boulder’s always got a rockin’ (bah dah tsssss) music scene. With well known and long running venues and lots of active local musicians our citizens are truly spoiled.
The Fox is up on the Hill, which is the university area of town. They’re an awesome venue for two reasons: great size, layout, and sound for any concert goer and they have shows almost every day. The second is definitely an amazing feat to accomplish, especially when they’re packing the house with music from all genres.
One of the best things about Boulder is the diversity and pride to be found in its local scenes. This is especially evident in the world of Boulder breweries & brewpubs.
Breweries

One of Boulder’s newest breweries, Upslope Brewing Company, is making its way into the Boulder mainstream. The unique tastes of their beers, simple branding and local feel make it a no-brainer for any (appropriate?) occasion. The cherry on top is their social media presence, which is great at telling their story and gives you the occasional laugh as well. Upslope is an exciting addition to the Boulder community, we hope you’ll check them out!
